didnt want that to happen to him, t  (N/A)
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Lizette Salas moved into position for her first LPGA Tour victory, playing 25 holes Saturday in 6-under par to take a three-stroke lead in the Kingsmill Championship. The 24-year-old former Southern California player shot a 3-under 68 in the completion of the rain-delayed second round and birdied three of the last five holes in the afternoon for a season-best 65. "I took a different approach this week," Salas said. "I only played the pro-am. Ive seen the course several times. Its my third year here. I didnt want to think too much about the golf course and just hit my targets. Last week, I had a good practice session at home, so I was feeling good coming in." She had a 13-under 200 total on Kingsmill Resorts River Course. South Koreas Hee Young Park, the second-round leader, was second. She bogeyed No. 18 for a 69. "Today, a little bit miss driver off the fairway, so its bit tough to make it close or make birdie chance," Park said. "Tomorrow, a little more focus on the accuracy rather than distance." Second-ranked Stacy Lewis and No. 3 Lydia Ko, both trying to take the top spot in the world from Inbee Park, were five strokes back along with Katherine Kirk. Lewis shot 70, Ko 67, and Kirk 68. Coming off a victory two weeks ago in the North Texas LPGA Shootout, Lewis would jump to No. 1 with a victory or a solo second-place finish, as long as Ko doesnt win. Ko needs a victory to move to No. 1. Inbee Park is skipping the tournament. "Overall, Im really happy," Ko said. "I mean, I guess improving every day is a really good sign." She played 24 holes Saturday. "I started on 13 this morning," Ko said. "Luckily, I birdied that and birdied the next hole. After that, I just kind of went back to my hotel and had some rest." Kraft Nabisco winner Lexi Thompson was 7 under along with Yani Tseng and Pornanong Phatlum. Thompson shot 70, Tseng 68 and Phatlum 66. "I have good confidence with my putter and short game today," Phatlum said. "Just try to be relax tomorrow and try my best." Salas began the day with a bogey on the par-5 third -- her 12th hole in the second round -- and closed with a birdie on the par-4 ninth. "I was pretty upset about that one," Salas said about her lone bogey of the day. "I dont like bogeying par 5s, and especially a three-putt. So, that gave me a little bit extra motivation." She had a long wait before starting the third round. "I had about 2 1/2, 3 hours to kill," Salas said. "I went in to the physio trainer got some work done on my lower back, took like a 10-minute nap, and just started my whole routine again. ... Didnt hit a lot of balls on the range today. Just did a couple drills. I just knew it was going to be a long day, so I didnt want to overdo it on the range." She birdied three of the first six holes in the third round to reach 10 under and pulled ahead with birdies on Nos. 14 and 15. She made a 15-foot putt on 14, and a 4-footer on 15. "On 14, that was a putt that I knew was going to go in," Salas said. "I read it correctly. ... That was probably the purest stroke of the day." Salas made an 8-foot birdie putt on the par-3 17th and saved par on the par-4 18th with a 4-footer after running her long birdie try past the hole. She has missed some good chances to win in the last two years. Last year, playing alongside winner Inbee Park in the final group of the Kraft Nabisco, the American finished with a 79 to tie for 25th. Two weeks later, Salas lost a playoff to Suzann Pettersen in the LPGA LOTTE in Hawaii. Salas chunked her approach into the water on the first extra hole after closing with a tournament-record 62. This year, Salas tied for third in the season-opening event in the Bahamas and finished second in the Kia Classic in California. Olsen, who is 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, can play either centre or guard. The 25-year-old Olsen played 16 games and made four starts in 2012 with the New Orleans Saints. http://www.nbaknicksauthority.com/customized-c-4/. "Weve given ourselves now a tougher task," said Carlyle after the Friday practice, the Toronto head coach notably chipper and upbeat throughout. "But the bottom line is we just have to win our share of games [and] not worry about what anybody else is doing. Joakim Noah Jersey.com) - Robert Martin and Josh Hicks combined for more than 300 yards rushing and three touchdowns, as Rutgers rolled past North Carolina, 40-21, in the Quick Lane Bowl. Bernard King Jersey. On Wednesday night, they showed that stellar defence and a little small ball can get the job done too. With pinch-runner Kevin Pillar aboard after Dioner Navarro opened the bottom of the ninth with a single, Anthony Gose dropped down an excellent bunt along the first-base line.OAKLAND, Calif. - Carson Palmer was happy to get a chance to come back to the Oakland Coliseum after enjoying his brief stint here with the Raiders. The result of his comeback game made the day even sweeter.Palmer threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns and the Arizona Cardinals sent the Raiders to their 12th straight loss with a 24-13 victory Sunday. Its a great environment to play, Palmer said. This place is awesome. This place is great when youre wearing the silver and black and its a great place to play as an opponent. Great to get in here and get a win.Stepfan Taylor caught one touchdown and ran for another and Andre Ellington gained 160 yards from scrimmage for the Cardinals (5-1), who are off to their best start since 1976.Its just good to be in the drivers seat in our division, receiver Larry Fitzgerald said. Its a long year. Its only Week 7. We have a long way to go.Darren McFadden ran for a touchdown for the Raiders (0-6), who are off to their worst start to a season since losing their first 13 games in 1962 — the year before late owner Al Davis joined the franchise. This is as bad as youre going to get through the first part of the season, safety Charles Woodson said. We havent won a game. How much worse can it get than that, than not winning a game? While the Raiders are the NFLs only winless team and in the midst of their worst stretch in more than a half-century, the first-place Cardinals are playing some of their best football in years.Palmer and a stiff defence are the big reasons. Despite throwing Arizonas first interception of the season, Palmer has mostly avoided the big mistakes that often doomed him during his year and a half in Oakland. He also has shown the ability to make the key throw, with his two biggest being a 33-yard touchdown pass to Michael Floyd in the second quarter and a 22-yarder to John Brown on third-and-8 late in the fourth. That set up Chandler Catanzaros 41-yard field goal that sealed the win with 29 seconds to go.Ellington, who was slowed by a rib injury, had 24 carries for 88 yards and caught six passes for 72 more yards to take pressure off Palmer.Theres always a lot of energy and pent-up emotion when you come back and play against somebody, coach Bruce Arians said.dddddddddddd I didnt want that to happen to him, to have to go out here and win this ballgame.Rookie Derek Carr struggled to find the big plays he had last week when he threw four touchdown passes in a 31-28 loss to San Diego. He hit one deep pass to Brice Butler, but most of his other completions were short. Carr went 16 for 28 for 173 yards. The Raiders fell behind 14-0 early, but cut it to 14-13 midway through the third period when Sebastian Janikowski hit a 53-yard field goal with new holder Matt Schaub. The Raiders made the switch after Janikowski struggled with punter Marquette King and then missed a 53-yard field goal last week.Ellington then keyed a big drive for Arizona, running for 40 yards, catching a 16-yard pass and drawing a 20-yard pass interference penalty on Miles Burris. Taylor replaced him and scored on a 4-yard run.The Raiders were unable to cross midfield on their final three drives and lost again.Palmer arrived in Oakland with much fanfare after the Raiders dealt a first- and second-round pick to Cincinnati midway through the 2011 season. But Palmer was not able to turn the Raiders into a playoff team, falling one game short his first season, and was traded following the 2012 season.Palmer got off to a fast start, throwing the two first-half touchdowns, including Floyds leaping grab over Tarell Brown. The Cardinals picked Oakland apart on third downs, converting 9 of 14 chances. Its like one of those things where you dont know what the problem is, defensive tackle Antonio Smith said. Each week youre going in trying to fix something and each week you wonder why its not working. But Carr got the Raiders back into it with a 55-yard deep strike to Butler that set up McFaddens 1-yard score. Janikowski added a field goal late in the first half after Charles Woodson intercepted Palmer.NOTES: Catanzaro tied Greg Zuerleins rookie record by making his 15th straight kick to start his career. ... Raiders S Usama Young left the game with an injured left knee.___Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
